Harris Equation Calculator Estimate your basal metabolic rate using...
The Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) Calculator divides your waist circumference by your hip circumference to evaluate abdominal fat distribution and associated cardiovascular and metabolic health risks.
A higher WHR indicates more abdominal (visceral) fat, which is linked to greater risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke compared to fat stored around the hips.
WHO guidelines: men ≤ 0.90 and women ≤ 0.85 are considered low-risk. Values above these thresholds indicate substantially increased health risk.
| Risk Level | Men (WHR) | Women (WHR) |
|---|---|---|
| Low risk | ≤ 0.90 | ≤ 0.80 |
| Moderate risk | 0.91 – 0.99 | 0.81 – 0.85 |
| High risk | ≥ 1.00 | ≥ 0.86 |
