The Blood Groups Punnett Square Calculator predicts the possible blood types of a child based on both parents' ABO and Rh blood group genotypes. It uses Mendelian genetics to show all possible allele combinations.
Each parent passes one ABO allele and one Rh allele. The Punnett square shows all combinations, so a child of A and B parents could be A, B, AB or O depending on the parents' genotypes.
ABO allele dominance: A and B are co-dominant, both dominant over O. Rh: positive (+) is dominant over negative (−). Two Rh+ parents can have an Rh− child if both carry the recessive allele.
| Parent 1 | Parent 2 | Possible Child Types |
|---|---|---|
| O | O | O only |
| A | O | A or O |
| B | O | B or O |
| A | B | A, B, AB or O |
| AB | O | A or B |
| AB | AB | A, B or AB |
