The wellness industry is no longer just following trends; it is defining them. As the demand for physical recovery, longevity, and human optimization skyrockets, one event has emerged as the heartbeat of this revolution: CryoCON.
From May 15–17, 2026, the Embassy Suites – Denton Convention Center in Texas will host the sixth edition of what has become much more than a simple conference. It is a global “mastermind” where cutting-edge technology meets the entrepreneurial spirit.
From an Online Community to a Wellness Empire
The story of CryoCON is one of a bold vision shared by two pioneers: Lars Lofstrand and Kelly Carden. After building a digital community of thousands of cryotherapy owners, they realized that nothing could replace face-to-face human connection, shared experiences, and the ability to test high-end technology in person.
Launched in 2021 with just 200 passionate attendees, the event has since evolved into the International Wellness EXPO & Convention, attracting participants from 19 countries and 5 continents. For 2026, the team is thinking big: over 1,000 attendees, 100 exhibitors, and 50 speakers are expected to redefine industry standards.
“CryoCON is so much more than a conference. It’s a powerful networking hub for students, studio owners, athletic trainers, and manufacturers from around the world,” explains co-founder Kelly Carden. “It’s a one-stop shop for ambitious entrepreneurs ready to do business—better.”
2026: A historic edition featuring TEDxCINA
This year, CryoCON marks a major milestone by becoming the first wellness conference to officially integrate a TEDx cycle (TEDxCINA) into its program. Friday, May 15, will be entirely dedicated to these high-impact talks, designed to challenge conventional thinking and inspire the next generation of leaders.
The goal? To move beyond technical jargon and elevate the conversation around the role of health and performance in modern society.
A blueprint for growth: The “1-Day MBA”
What sets CryoCON apart from traditional trade shows is its pragmatic approach to business. The event offers a strategic roadmap for clinic and gym owners through:
- Business-Building Workshops: Focused on leadership, finance, legal frameworks, and marketing masterclasses.
- The “1-Day MBA”: An intensive program to help you identify gaps in your business model and address them for maximum profitability.
- Modality Deep Dives: Expert insights into “stacking” technologies such as cryotherapy, red light therapy, salt rooms, and IV drips.
- EXPO Hall: Interactive demos from 100+ exhibitors, allowing you to test the latest tech before you invest.
The power of the network: “In Business for Yourself, Not by Yourself”
Camaraderie is a pillar of the CryoCON experience. As Maria Ensabella, owner of LondonCryo, puts it: “I’ve met wonderful owners who share the highs and lows. Knowing I’m not alone is very important when in business.”
The commercial impact is equally impressive. Exhibitors like CryoBuilt have reported closing sales for chambers exceeding $100,000 directly on the show floor—a testament to the high-level decision-makers and motivated buyers the event attracts.

Meet the founders
Behind the success of CryoCON are two dynamic and complementary personalities:
- Lars Lofstrand: President of the Cryo Industry Association and a serial entrepreneur who has founded 27 companies. A former rockstar (bass player!), Lars brings a unique energy and sharp business acumen to the wellness space.
- Kelly Carden: Affectionately known as the “Queen of Cryo,” she is the marketing powerhouse and primary community builder of the industry. With degrees from SMU and Boston University, she has been a vital connector in the space for over a decade.
Stay tuned: In the coming weeks, Sogevity will publish an exclusive interview with Lars Lofstrand to dive deeper into his vision for the future of wellness and his secrets to entrepreneurial success.
