The Net Carb Calculator subtracts fiber and sugar alcohols from total carbohydrates to determine the carbs that actually impact your blood sugar. It is essential for people following keto, low-carb or diabetic diets.
Net carbs are the carbohydrates your body can fully digest and convert to glucose. Fiber passes through undigested, and most sugar alcohols are only partially absorbed.
Keto target: 20–30 g net carbs/day. Low-carb: 50–100 g/day. Formula: Net carbs = Total carbs − Fiber − (Sugar alcohols ÷ 2). Exception: erythritol is fully subtracted.
